Covid -19 Tier 4 Update: January 2021

I would like to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, not being able to see family members, work ‘stresses’ and the general uncertainty surrounding Covid -19. Thank fully with the development and release of the two vaccines there is ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ for 2021.

I wanted to reassure you that Body Balance Therapy is still OPEN. As with previous lockdowns and tier systems, “health services” in England are thankfully permitted to continue in Tier 4, providing appointments to address an injury, condition or healthcare need. This means that physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation services can continue to be offered.

There is a restriction in place on ‘close contact services’, therefore we have been advised that any appointments that are not to address an injury, condition or healthcare need should not go ahead – for example, a routine recovery Sports Massage cannot take place under the Tier 4 restrictions but may be an option if it is to address a specific injury, condition or healthcare need. Please contact me for clarification info@bodybalancetherapy.uk

I want to reassure you that the clinic continues to follow the Governments Covid-19 Guidelines. All clients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms via telephone, prior to attending the clinic. Consideration will be given to whether a face to face appointment is appropriate. A verbal informed consent will be asked for, after the screening process has been completed.

The clinic is cleaned thoroughly before and after each client, so we ask that you arrive at the exact appointment time to avoid ‘client cross over’. Clients are asked to wear an appropriate face covering on arrival. A temperature check, together with hand sanitising measures will be carried out prior to entering the clinic. In addition your therapist will be wearing full PPE kit for your treatment, including a Type 2 Face mask, visor, disposable apron and gloves.

Thank you for all your support during 2020.

Kind regards

Paul Frawley
