Physiotherapy & Injury Rehabilitation

Injury Rehabilitation/Physiotherapy

Don’t let your injury hold you back. If you are suffering or recovering from injury, make an appointment to have a specifically tailored recovery programme designed for you. It will return you to full functional fitness, fast. Our goal is to help you become more mobile and pain-free. Sessions will include, identifying and correcting faulty movement patterns, muscle imbalances, biomechanical and posture analysis, ergonomics and Pilates. With a degree in Sport Rehabilitation, Paul Frawley is highly skilled in providing a range of carefully tailored intervention strategies to allow continued optimal participation in your chosen activity.

At Body Balance Therapy, we pride ourselves at being hands-on, with the aim of restoring your mobility and reducing your pain. We use a variety of techniques such as massage, joint mobilisation, dry Needling/IMS Dry needling and deeper soft tissue release. After treatment you will begin rehabilitation which may include specific exercises, advice on posture and helpful tips on best practice at work.

What to expect on your first visit?

WeDuring your first visit to Body Balance Therapy, Paul will give you an initial assessment. This will include discussing the relevant problem, the suggested treatment, and your expected outcome. The suggested treatment will take place during this initial assessment and you may do some work on our Pilates Reformer if relevant.  A tailored treatment plan will then be discussed and a home exercise program will be emailed to you if appropriate. The bespoke program will include a picture description and video footage of each exercise just in case you forget!

What Should I wear during treatment?

We recommend that you wear loose comfortable clothing. We may ask you to partially remove some clothing so that we can access the area to treat. We provide shorts should you need to change. We recommend wearing a back fastening bra rather than a sports bra for treating neck, shoulder and upper back issues. All rooms are warm and we also use towels to maintain your privacy.

Here at Body Balance Therapy, our rehab specialists are professional members of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT). Paul Frawley is also registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist (PH75936)
